Graeme has 24 years’ experience in safety management and is an experienced construction professional. His particular expertise is in the development and implementation of management systems (quality and health & safety) on large scale construction projects including the Borders Railway, Edinburgh Gateway station, Ravenscraig redevelopment, Smart Motorways programme and the M8, M73, M74 Motorways Improvement project.

He managed the Railways Approval process for the Cairngorm funicular railway in order to obtain HM Railway Inspectorate approval for the railway and was responsible for the development of the Railway Safety Case documentation.  Responsible for the review of development of documentation for the CairnGorm ski area to address the requirements of the Cableways Installations Regulations.  This included restructuring the safety case documentation for the funicular railway and developing documentation for the ski tows to form the Technical Files.

He is currently working at the Emirates Airline cable car in London undertaking the role of Engineering Manager managing specific engineering issues / investigations relating to the safe operation of the cable car, including the annual shutdown of the cable car for maintenance activities.
