The Authorisation Process
The installation of a new cableway, or the modification of an existing cableway requires the operator to comply with specific cableways legislation, in addition to the legislation that you will be familiar with.
Our proven track record of assisting organisations through the cableways authorisation process, means that we are uniquely placed to support you to successfully address the challenges.
How we can help?
Sequs provide a range of services that will enable you to comply with the requirements of the Cableways Installation Regulations.
We work with our clients, providing knowledge and experience to focus on the key activities to achieve the Stage 1 Authorisation and Stage 2 Authorisation.
We will achieve this by:
Preparation and submission of the letter to the Secretary of State for Transport to notify them of the nature of the work, timescales for completion and seek costs from the Department for Transport for both stage 1 and stage 2 works required;
- Review of the Technical Safety Analysis to consolidate information into Safety Report;
- Preparation of the Safety Report;
- Compilation of the technical file from the safety analysis, safety report, EC Declarations of Conformity, etc
- Apply to the Authorisation Body for Stage 1 authorisation, accompanying application with safety report etc.
- Apply to the Authorisation Body for a Stage 2 authorisation in respect of putting the cableway into service;
- Submit the technical file and all relevant documentation regarding the procedure for monitoring operating safety; and
- Update the Safety Report with the Testing and Commissioning information and Department for Transport Authorisation documentation.
